Who we are

ZeFax is operated by CortexStride. The service is offered "as is" via WhatsApp, Telegram, and the web dashboard at https://zefax.com. For the WhatsApp channel, ZeFax integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta and agrees to the WhatsApp Business Solution Terms and the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. See our privacy policy for details on what WhatsApp data we receive and how we use it.

Who can use ZeFax

You must be at least 18 years old, run a legitimate business, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account and all activity on it.

Free and paid tiers

ZeFax offers a free tier with a monthly allowance of bot messages, and one or more paid tiers with a higher monthly allowance plus advanced features (rich reports, installment plans, priority support, and more). Specific message allowances and prices are shown in the app and may change over time as we add new options for power users. Limits reset on the 1st of each month. Going over your tier鈥檚 allowance gates the bot until you upgrade or the cycle resets.

Payments

We support multiple payment methods, including Mobile Money and bank cards. The methods available to you depend on your country and are shown in the app at the time of upgrade. The current price for your tier is shown at upgrade. By upgrading you authorize recurring monthly charges at the displayed price until you cancel. If we change the price of an existing tier, you will be notified in advance and may cancel before the new price takes effect. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by certified external payment providers; the specific provider is shown in the app and may change over time.

Prohibited uses

You agree NOT to use ZeFax for: illegal goods or services, money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, spam or unsolicited bulk messaging, harassment, impersonation, or anything that violates the cybercrime, cybersecurity, consumer protection, or data protection laws applicable in your country (for example, Cameroon Loi 2010/012, Nigeria Cybercrimes Act, Kenya Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, South Africa Cybercrimes Act, Mexico C贸digo Penal Federal and LFPC (PROFECO), Colombia Ley 1273 de 2009 and Estatuto del Consumidor (Ley 1480 de 2011), Argentina Ley 26.388 and Ley 24.240, Peru Ley 30096 and C贸digo de Protecci贸n y Defensa del Consumidor (Ley 29571), Chile Ley 21.459 and Ley 19.496, or, where applicable, the equivalent law in your jurisdiction). Violations result in immediate suspension.

AI responses are not advice

The bot uses AI to write its replies. The bot does its best to help, but its answers are NOT financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Always check important numbers before acting on them. We do not guarantee that what the bot says is correct.

Service changes

We may add, remove, or modify features. Material changes get advance notice via the bot or email. We may suspend the service for maintenance, abuse, or unpaid invoices.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the law applicable to you, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer protection right you cannot waive under the law of your country.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the ZeFax operator (CortexStride) is established, currently Cameroon, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country of residence that you cannot waive by contract. The parties will attempt mediation in good faith before any litigation. Where consumer protection law in your country requires disputes to be heard locally, that takes precedence.
